The Subramaniam Foundation is a registered charitable trust started by virtuoso violinist composer Dr. L. Subramaniam and Bollywood Legend Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam in 2005, with the aim of creating peak experiences through music, art and culture. The primary activities of the Foundation include:
SaPa, the Subramaniam Academy of Performing Arts, a boutique musical institution, focused on creating the next generation of great performers and creating global musical exchanges and dialogues. The SaPa Centre of Excellence is currently in Sanjaynagar, Bangalore and the Foundation supports budding talented musicians by providing scholarships.
Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival, a platform that showcases some of the greatest musicians in the world by providing live music experiences which is free and open to all. Till date, the festival has been held in 55 cities across 22 countries. The Foundation supports artists by sponsoring them.
SaPa in schools (SiS), a program that teaches Global and Indian classical music to children by creating the entire ecosystem of learning materials, syllabi, teacher training to bring about high quality class room experience. The Foundation supports SiS by conducting the programme for free in deserving schools.
